Mysterious Tale of the Walking Bear: A Heartwarming Underdog Story

Disturbing photos have surfaced showing a two-legged black bear wandering through the mountainous regions of Western areas. Virginia .

Kirk Price, a seasoned outdoor enthusiast in the region, caught sight of the bear moving about on just its two feet using a trail camera he installed.

Price, who shared several videos Last September, regarding the bear, it was mentioned that the region it was moving through "features some of the most rugged landscapes in the Appalachian Mountains," but it was also noted that this didn’t hinder its mobility at all.

Price told USA Today he thought the bear was a male and about eight years old.

He mentioned that he initially became aware of the bear in 2018, noting that the creature was "much smaller back then and has nearly doubled in size since being sighted initially."

He clarified, 'By then he was already moving about independently and wasn’t considered a cub anymore.’ Typically, a cub remains with its mother for nearly two years.

Price mentioned that he personally spotted the bear just once, though both he and multiple others have encountered it repeatedly through photographs and video footage captured using his trail camera over the years.

He's highly elusive and seldom seen in person," Price stated. "He resides in the mountains. Surprisingly, he travels quite frequently. His range is about five miles.

Price recounted his single meeting with the bipedal bear in a YouTube video from 2022.

He mentioned that he had been teaching his dogs to hunt bears. This practice is against the law in numerous states, but in West Virginia Hunters have the opportunity to train their dogs throughout the entire year.

Taking their dogs for training includes cruising around until the animals pick up the smell of a bear. Once the scent is detected, the hunters release the dogs to pursue and drive the bear up into a tree.

Once a bear has been effectively cornered in a tree, the hunter collects his dogs and sets out to locate another quarry. During hunting season, the hunter would secure his dogs prior to firing at the bear stuck in the tree.

Price mentioned that one day during his hunt with numerous dogs, they encountered a bear. He stated that his GPS promptly alerted him about the bear being cornered in a tree.

However, once he reached his dogs, he witnessed an astonishing sight.

"I begin climbing the hill towards where the bear is, and as I approach, I can determine from the noise that it is lying on the ground," he stated in the video.

"I got up to it and couldn’t believe my eyes. The scene showed a bear standing on its hind legs, behaving much like a sasquatch, which was incredibly strange," he remarked, as video clips displayed the dogs encircling the vulnerable creature.

Price strongly feels that the bear was born with just two legs and did not suffer an injury due to a hunter or another creature.

"I strongly believe he was naturally inclined this way and has triumphed against all odds. The emphasis should be on that. This bear is genuinely remarkable," he stated.

Another two-legged black bear known as Pedals was seen numerous times in New Jersey before He died while hunting in 2016. .

Adult black bears, found across much of North America, usually have the ability to run at speeds between 30 to 35 miles per hour and they excel at climbing trees.

Price mentioned that although he frequently hunts and consumes bear meat, he strongly supports conservation efforts and enjoys observing bears thriving in their natural habitat.

"This specific bear holds a special place, and I would never intentionally hunt him," Price stated.
