A man from Kwekwe has been held in custody for reportedly making his wife consume poison during an argument, which resulted in her demise.
Norest Ndhlovu (29), from Qagani village under Chief Malisa in Silobela, appeared at the Kwekwe Magistrates' Court charged with murder.
He was held in custody until April 17 of this year.
The National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe has stated that on May 17 around 9 pm, Ndhlovu allegedly attacked his spouse during an argument and forced a toxic substance into her mouth.
The individual who has passed away was admitted to the hospital but later released.
Following that, she remained hospitalized intermittently until she ultimately fell victim to the poison's effects on March 4th of this year.
